YYEESSS! Flightbeam's NZAA out this month

Postby cowpatz » Fri Jul 02, 2021 10:16 am

A good quality payware Auckland has been needed for a longtime. We now have all the main centres covered in P3D.
I wasn't going to purchase any more add ons for P3D but as MSFS is not yet fully matured (at least for tubeliners) then I will be a day one buyer for this.

I hate to break it to you Aharon but I think FSX is dead in the water now.
I'm on P3D4.5 and enjoying it. I need to upgrade my computer to be able to use the likes of P3DV5.2 or MSFS but given the ridiculous prices of graphics cards I will hold off for a bit longer.
You should give P3D a try. The Academic version is very good value.

Cowpatz,

I am keeping FSX for few more years until MS2020 is 100,000,000 percent ready

Smiling

And FSX is not dead.

You'll be waiting a long time in that case as they are always updating and improving the new sim and thats the beauty of it - it just keeps getting better all the time!

Theres literally no reason not to go to either p3d or msfs2020 or XP11 if your on fsx, no one is creating addons for fsx anymore

Fsx is well and dead - its a 16 year old platform that is so outdated now

Its like using an old nokia brick phone compared to a new iphone ort samsung - sure the nokia will do its job but why persevere with such old technology when you can do so much more with an iphone or samsung...?

Since installing MSFS2020 i have had no issues whatsoever - its been the most reliable sim ever, plus no need for half the addons you needed to make fsx work properly

It will also be interesting to see what the newly announced performance improvements do when they are rolled out to MSFS soon. This might help broaden the base of happy users. Just the full global ground textures is good enough for me. Add to that VR and the amazing airports and aircraft starting to roll out, its just awesome!
