Is there a link? Or is it only insiders right now?

P3Dv4.x and a bunch of add-on stuff... some 'global' products, but otherwise NZ-only

The post was insiders-only, but the video is on YouTube.

Insiders or outsiders, it's all on AVSIM, as usual:

I might be tempted to buy this game when it appears for sale :D

Nice of MS to telegraph this to the world, so all those devs working for other sims can go look for other work, or prepare to join the Movement.
There surely would be no reason to compete?
It's the antithesis of the fragmentation following the Effeh Sex and bastard children debacle.

I do wonder how this happened?
No basis for the thought, but I have wondered if the money of the late Paul Allen isn't somehow involved here?
It would partly explain the international demographic of the MS team, I previously thought MSFS all lived in Bill Gates' old house in Seattle.

And what about this: when the dust has settled, and the concept is shown to have worked in the marketplace, a new combat flight sim to the same standard?
There's room for a companion volume to the civvy flightsim for sure.
MSCFS2 was a stunner in its time, and sat well alongside FS2002/4

Biggest question as referenced by Michael, would be what brand of Vit. D to use, due to lack of sun exposure in the darkened simpit.

PC or Xbox One?

Postby tdale » Fri Apr 03, 2020 9:24 am

Will the console version be a mirror of the PC version? Can add third party scenery etc? Is that likely or unlikely?

I don't think that we know anything about the Xbox version yet, and almost as little about the PC version:)
But if you wanted speculation.... it won't be a 'mirror' of the PC version, but it will be close out of the box. There may be addons, but it will be a lot more closed than the PC version.
