Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Is there any great freeware add on without using ground texture package for the New Zealand airport that has active railroad track running through the airport's runway? Forgot the name of the airport.

Regards,

Aharon

Lawrie Roach (Snowman) did a freeware scenery for Gisborne. It is for FS9 and FSX.
Probably showing it's age now but still better than default.
PM me if interested as I do have a copy of it.

Emfrat,

Thanks for cool screenshot Cannot see railroad tracks or trains LOL

Cowpatz,

I did not know Lawrie Roach made NZGS for FSX use? I searched all over and saw only FS2004. Also, I notice that Godzone (spelling) makes payware NZGS for FSX but I cannot find info or where on Internet.

If your FSX version of NZGS works for FSX with SP1 and SP2 (some FSX sceneries would not work with SP1 and SP2), kindly please send me the freeware NZGS scenery as long as it is not against the regulations set by the software developer of this scenery. I am PMing you.

Thanks,

Aharon

It's on flightsim.com

FSX Scenery--Gisborne Regional Airport. Welcome to Gisborne Regional Airport, situated on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The airport is served by Air New Zealand Link, and is home to many aviation related businesses including Air Gisborne Ltd. The airport is unique, in that is it the only commercial airport in the world to have have an active main-trunk railway line crossing over an active main runway. Trains have right-of-way over aircraft at all times. This airport scenery is built specifically to fit within the free VLC North Island Airfields package, and requires that you have this installed first. By Lawrie Roache (South Pacific FlightSim Scenery).

Oh darn out of my luck as I do not want ground texture base package.

Thanks for the link, Emfrat

the house over on the right as seen in the screenshot was the Stevensons place - Andy and his son Guy. There is/was a gate in the fence so they could land and taxi the fletcher and later the cresco in to the property.
I think it was 'Farmers Air' ???
I did 3 1/2 years there at the start of my career between about 25 - 28 years ago-ish.
There is a set of controls in the tower for monitoring and activating the signals for the rail/runway lighting system.
