List of Payware Aircraft with NZ Markings

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby Chairman » Sat Feb 28, 2009 7:01 pm

We can add the PMDG MD-11 to the list. I know Air NZ never flew them, but that didn't stop PMDG including one in the livery user on the dc-10 biggrin.gif

The paint has been out for a while now, hopefully they'll have gotten rid of their house colours properly laugh.gif

Cheers
Gary

I believe ANZ was giving the option on the 11's but was shelved due the company MD stat's .

Hey, I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to aircraft and scenery add on's, so I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a good site to download local aircraft (e.g. RNZAF) and scenery. I managed to get a few skins on ARNZ before it went tits up (thanks to some hacker...) but I'm still after some more aircraft types, namely NH90, L109, C-130, A-4 Skyhawk, P3 Orion, maybe a spitefire/typhoon, hawker sea fury (if possible all with NZ markings).

I have found a few freeware sites and tried a few different aircraft types but they generaly tend to be pretty bad quality in terms of flight dynamics and VC.

If anyone could point me in the direction of a decent site to download from that would be awesome.

Not sure you are FSX or FS9?

You mean Avsim went tits up not ARNZ.

Also try this site http://www.nzfsim.org/

The RNZAF web site have some of those aircraft listed.. but if you want top quality aircraft (and not all aircaft have good quality representations) you will have to pay for it.

There is a really good C-130H (you can get RNZAF schemes for it - although with Avsim down not sure at the mo) at www.captainsim.com

The best Spitfire (IMO) is available at www.realairsimulations.com

Theres also an excellent freeware Orion (there is a RNZAF available scheme for this) which might be availabe at Flightsim.

RAZBAM (Google it) have a payware Skyhawk - I dont have it so not sure of quality but looks pretty good.

Cheers

Sweet Cheers guys,

I am running FSX, so most of those downloads on the RNZAF site dont work (with the exeption of the CT-4) as they seem to be set up for mainly FS9.

You wouldnt have any suggestions for scenery as well?

ZK-OTR Coast Air DHC-6-100 Twin Otter model by Eric Dantes, for FS2004.
Coast Air was a New Zealand-based airline that flew around the southern island in the late 1980s.

Thanks Gary. This thread has been aimed at payware aircraft really, well the top-post at least is maintained with payware. Hopefully Adamski picks up on your post though, as he runs an escellent website which lists both types, see:
http://www.nzfsim.org/

update - you just reminded me though, have updated the top-post to include the QualityWings 757 repaints

Thanks, Dean :-) ... I've added the Coast Air one now (Coast Air). The Mount Cook one's already in there (ZK-CJZ).

Oops....forgot to give you a head's up on that Coast Air livery quite a while ago. That was my first foray into repainting, so it's not that great, but it does the job. smile.gif

NZ BLACK MAGIC PAYWARE REPAINTS

Folks, I'm repainting payware aircraft over at OZX aussiex.org doing ZK-XXX 'Black Magic' themes. So far I've completed

Cessna C340
Bonanza F33
Bonanza V35 and Tip Tanks versions
Beech Duke Turbine.

More to come. Just go over to http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/files/ and do a search on 'Black Magic' or 'coolguns' and you'll find them there.

EDIT:
Oh and don't forget to rate them PLEASE smile.gif

Oops just realised this is a FS2004 thread. Mine are for FSX
