Just a heads up. There is a bug in P3Dv2.2 where the anisotropic filtering resets to 4x each time you start the sim up. To fix it you have to change it from 16x (assuming everyone's using 16x because there is virtually no performance hit) to another setting (for example 4x), save it, and then go back and change it back to 16x again. You will have to do this each time you load the sim. LM have been made aware. It made a significant difference for me - I wondered why things looked so blurry in the distance even with LOD maxxed out.
