MSFS broadband connection

Postby cowpatz » Sun Apr 10, 2022 12:40 pm

I’m just wondering what the minimum broadband speed would be needed to run this smoothly.
Unfortunately with rural broadband I can only get around 25 to 30 Mbs without having to mortgage the house. Even though we are in one of the fastest growing areas of Auckland.
Any one using this successfully on that speed or less?

Here in Loburn, just north of Rangiora, I get 10 to 14 Mbs rural broadband, about half what you’re getting. MSFS generally runs pretty good but I do get low broadband connection warnings every now and then. Not sure how the slow broadband affects MSFS loading times, it normally takes about 10 to 15 minutes from time I click on the MSFS icon until I press ‘ready to fly’. I don’t usually fly near big US cities - I’m all low and slow GA.
