I've found that I can persuade Google Drive to display a pic ... but it's a little complicated. You have to view the image then use Firefox (or similar) and get the image URL by viewing the page info. You get a URL that looks a bit like this: ... to which you then add the img tags/pair. [img] Adam.

By the way, thanks for fixing the image-sizing prob, with images being cut off on smaller screens. Now they resize to fit, which is so much better! Oh brilliant!

been reading this thread and thinking it over... we are the 'NZ' flight-sim forum so I think the banner that represents us should still be 'NZ'-centric in some definable way, either by the aircraft markings, the scenery in the background or some other method essentially 'Kiwi'. Themes? Meh... I'll go with the flow on this one. I also agree with the idea of just an entry and the voting button and no other identification at all. No names no numbers. everyone will then choose based on just the aesthetics alone. my $0.02 worth anyway. Cheers.

A suggestion for competition entries try and resize your image to over 1200px wide that would make it much easier to do a banner from. I also suggest that if you have been using PhotoBucket that you consider using another host as PhotoBucket resizes all your images to 1024px wide and as you can see by this months banner very hard to make that image fit into the 1200px wide banner.

I find its annoying when my family E-Mail me photos which they have taken directly from their Digital/Tablet/Phone camera, which are Mega-Bytes in size! They take ages to download, and take up mega space in my In Box! They just need to be "resized" (small), suitable for E-Mail! Paul....Me?...Size: 5'-7"...and shrinking.... ;) ...!

I started using PostImage about three years ago. If I upload a 1920x1080px, and say "Do not resize" it puts it in the gallery at full size, but when you look at the thumbnails (created by PostImage) for that gallery, then click on a thumbnail, the first thing you get is an image 1290 wide, with a link below for the full-size pic. So, if I am putting up screenies, I use IrfanView to resize/resharpen to 1290 wide, and upload that. For comp entries, I resize to 1280 wide. For those pics which really need the full-screen view, I upload a 1290 wide which appears in my post as a teaser,...

It's made of "Operation Bodenplatte" There aren't many left who can tell us anything about the original. My reference is Eric "Winkle" Brown who wrote a book "The Famous Aircraft of the German Luftwaffe, he flew all of these machines himself and was an experienced pilot who was in Germany before WW2. udging from what he wrote, it's fair to say that the replica is good. The engine start-up ceremony is simpler than in the Me 2626. The machine is a bit under powered, especially with a full bomb load or with conversion kits and a dive to the target is not recommended. The...

Love them all JK  This link mentions a C-45 flight to NZ , by the late Joe Cowan. Hard to find anything else , other links I found just go dead. The article linked to the Cowan website, is called "From dead cow to dairy flat" would be great reading , but I cant open anything. Edit: Just found this .
