Hi Guys, I'm just about to sit my cpl air law (helicopter) exam in a week. I've read through pretty much all the legislation - rules and AIP - and the only thing that is missing is doing some practice exams. Waypoints will have some mock exams available in a month or so but that's a bit late for me. Does anyone have some copies of prac exams (and answers if you have them) sitting around? I'd be soooooooo appreciative. Post or a reply or private message if you can help me out? I've been flying for a while overseas and know so well how exams are half about exam technique - and how well prac...

QUOTE (towerguy @ Jan 10 2009, 01:32 AM) I think it would be pretty close to say that if it comes from ATC either written or verbal then its magnetic and if it comes from MET then it's mostly bullsh!t ... er True. Exactly, very good way of summing up the NZ MET system /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif /> Airways always seems to get it right /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= thumbup1.gif />

Along those lines, I read an interesting article in the December issue of "aeroplane" early days of TEAL. I had no idea how much influence the British had on what went on down here. TEAL was interested in the Comet 4, but told no...but you can have some second hand DC-6's. They also expressed an interest in the Convair 880.....but again, the answer was no. At that time TEAL was 50% Australian owned, and they were told they would get the Lockheed L-188 Electra. TEAL became known as "Take Electra And Like it" It wasn't until it was 100% NZ owned , they (TEAL)started getting...

There were three all doing the same thing. I managed to catch a glimpse of it just after takeoff at work yesterday. Great shots though. I believe that a handful are being kept in service for a couple more years as the KC-46 takes over from the KC-135R...but it's still too young to be retired.

No idea but I'm a sucker for lunchtime Google Earth trips: EGGW/QAIA/VIDP/KLIA/YPDN/YBBN/NZAA Charl, Exactly my thoughts which is why I am asking where for specific route and specific info on where did Brittana Airways 737-200 make refuel stopovers during the delivery trip from England to New Zealand!! This would create great opportunity for any flight simmer to recreate the historic route in most realistic manner for that delivery flight! Regards, Aharon

which B732 model are they for? I believe it is 732 model base by Kittyhawk founded by Erick Cantu the same person who founded Vistaliners creating 727s, L1011s, and 737-300s/400s/500s. exciting stuff re the new 732 models and liveries  Not new models as it is 732 model base by Kittyhawk founded by Erick Cantu BUT there are lots of new airline liveries that were never painted before. Tony Madge painted LOTS LOTS LOTS of all new Air Zealand and NAC liveries that were never painted before!! no doubt an announcement inbound shortly from Mark, exciting stuff re the new 732 models and...

Shalom and greetings all my pals, Pete Ham, who is real life New Zealand pilot, is very very kind to take time from his busy schedule to look for his IRF charts from the past and found IRF charts for NZMC Mount Cook airport as seen below. Problem solved!! He said that doing an IFR approach to Mount Cook required a Glentanner/Mount Cook VOR/DME approach to MDA then proceed VFR 15.7nm to Mount Cook, or a Pukaki VOR/DME approach to MDA then proceed VFR 28nm to Mount Cook Regards, Aharon

It probably appears that it is solidly attached but it will be the master rod that you are observing. The other Conrods are called articulating rods and they attach to the base flanges of the master rod. It’s because you can’t have all of the conrods attached to the same crank journal individually (there is only one crank journal).

Yes, I mentioned on Facebook that if there's a small consolation it's that it's in the right place to get repaired at least!
