We were taxing out one day and there was a 777-300 and an A380 head to head (different Taxiways) and the difference was quite remarkable between the 2.

Yep fitted recently. Must be a lack of white paint in the hangar. Hah, I'll wait awhile and hopefully someone in the workshop throws a coat of white over it :)

Cheers Mike ....Im dreading their return from Auckland after 6 days of intensive spotting. A new hard drive coming up I think :ph43r: I have a 4TB external drive (SSD) which is a fair bit of acreage, but it needs USB2.0 or better or it won't install itself. Of course I only found that out when I got home. It's now on the latest flying machine, and working well :)

More nice pics there SP. I do wish I could take a good pic. I see that due to poor weather conditions in the Antarctic that the ice flights are on hold for the moment. I have a mate that once did a demonstration flight of the P61 at a wings and wheels show at the Pukekohe horse race track. During the display he did a low pass and feathered one engine. Much to his consternation he couldn't restart it and had to head off smartly to Ardmore airfield. Exciting with fixed gear. Fortunately there was just 2 POB and not much fuel.

Don't get me wrong, I'm quite happy never to have to build NZAA -- I have my fingers crossed for Flightbeam! NZCH was kind of in the same category, too much work and trouble, but I do have a soft spot for Christchurch itself, most of the good things in my life happened there!

nice shots hope you stayed for the afternoon as it really starts to ramp up and get busy in the afternoons I started at 2.00pm and traffic was beginning to build already. From memory it was a really really busy day later in the afternoon/evening. daylight saving soon and not long till summer scheds so the traffic will be getting up to the 600+ a day levels like last year - yay I can hardly wait! <_< will be good photo ops then and hopefully better weather for it too.
