Hi everyone, After almost a year, I finally found the time to fly again, and complete some more bush adventures. This time it's a bit different though. It's more "adhoc", more "let's see what happens" kind of adventure. Thanks to Timmo, I don't have to spend all that time finding those airstrips on satellite images and align them in Plan-G, 'cos they are all "pre-loaded" in FSX for me. So simply load up the FSX flight planner and choose a departure strip and a destination from there, keeping the terrain in mind. I chose a random strip, and had...

Hi there Try importing a route from somewhere like here: This route is for Concorde from Heathrow to New York for example. Then once you download the flight plan all you need to do then is open it up in your FSX flight planner and your GPS will follow. If you run into issues with routes you've downloaded, you may need to update your default FSX airac cycle (it is getting old now) This site will do that here regards

QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Nov 3 2011,11:46 AM) The Great New Zealand Journey , not complete yet is it /ohmy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :o border= 0 alt= ohmy.gif /> For now it is- although during the time I've been flying this one, decent addons for Wanganui and Nelson have been made available, so I'm thinking I'll be doing a return trip up north sometime in the future! Might as well take the ole BN-2A down to Stewart Island too me thinks /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> Aside from that, keep your eyes peeled for a...

QUOTE (nalbers @ Feb 19 2011, 10:00 AM) Question: Does anyone know if you can add arrestor cables to a land based runway? That would make the landing go from impossible to moderately simple... Even if it is cheating /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> Search Arrcab 2.6 at flightsim.com. It is a plugin that enabled catapult takeoffs and arrestor landings on demand. /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> Best part is you just switch it on where ever and it works, so great for moving carriers!

QUOTE (cowpatz @ Jan 4 2011, 11:20 PM) Try here for updated video link. Thank you for the link. I've attempted the approach for RWY 23 in low cloud cover and didn't make it. Killed everyone on board. I need to update the Navigraph file. Or put in my own fixes for the approach in the FMC. Probably I should prctice this in clear weather first. Jim D. p.s. While I have the email notification checked, I haven't received any. What could be wrong?

Yes, this is what you'd get with a proper AI package -- if both the aircraft and parking are coded for a specific airline, then it will most likely end up there. You just need the aircraft config and 'AFCAD' to use the same code for the airline.
