QUOTE (Kamoflarj @ Jul 9 2014,8:27 AM) You should try opus weather 3.4 very accurate wx report and winds aloft data. (provided you input a good flight plan. This can be created with rebuild. Then import to opus) active sky 2012 is also very good, its more eye candy than opus, because it provides you with better ground and cloud textures, but functionally, is still the same. One thing as2012 does better fun functionally though is it creates variable wind from the metar data. But only varies about 20 degrees from the reported metar, so it won't change runway assignment. Well, in...

Great to see these plans. Compling tours like this are a lot of fun. I'm currently with Robin to release a series of VFR adventure flight plans under the Real NZ banner- watch this space! /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif />

QUOTE (emfrat @ Mar 16 2014,5:01 PM) Making a night IFR NDB approach, and coming out of the procedure turn to see the runway lights dead ahead, makes me feel very smug /rolleyes.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= rolleyes.gif /> Think that was the war cry on its release, the Devon/Dove , would have been an extra super fave with an extra super VC and internals /cool.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= B-) border= 0 alt= cool.gif />

Etienne - the links to the flightplans for that tutorial seems to be dead. Possibly the member who created them has removed them from his own webspace. I am not a member of VATPAC, so I cannot see everything on their website. For example, there is a flight planner tool, but it seems to be for registered members, not visitors like me. SkyVector is a good resource, and if you look here: you should see a VFR chart covering the route YLTV-YMMB-YMEN. I will help where I can, but I will not be able to do much until Thursday. You can send me a private message within the forum, if you like. It is not...

QUOTE (Dash8captain @ Jun 25 2013,9:59 PM) Hey kiwi a Question how do you do your lonhaul flights like that? - do you speed time up when on Autopilot? or do you use real time? Hey mate. First, I actually don't fly those long routes a lot. But when I do, I try to fly over night so I will go to sleep and wake up every 2 hours to look if everything's working. If I can't fly through the night I usually do a lot of work while flying. If there's a rainy day where I can't do a lot I speed up. So I'd say 75% real time. 25% speed time up.

Brilliant - all in all a great set of series across your posts. Thanks for taking the time to create it all. The 767 looks great in that livery, if only ANZ made it standard.. Great pics, very enjoyable viewing/ reading.

Extra text for config's think should be posted and possibly pinned and a discript for the use , there are so many , It would so easy to copy then paste into the main FSX.cfg folder . A little job for someone .
