QUOTE (MichaelBasler @ Nov 1 2014,3:46 PM) Rob, I think I am going to disable the Airport for now, too. However, while I found the .off files in ORBX NZNI there's nothing clearly Godzone related under Scenery\World\Scenery. Could you give me a hand? Thanks and kind regards, Michael The Godzone stub is called NZWN_ADEX_GVF.BGL

No worries, it was my flatmate's fault I got a bout of the maudlins. She's going through that at the moment, mainly because she's been losing consciousness while driving , and is kinda booked up with medical tests now. She's been working on her family history, and last week she asked me what would be the easiest way to get all her stuff off the computer to her children in case of her demise. I went through the options -- Cloud (huh!?), or some sort of portable drive, mainly. I checked to see how much data was involved, and it turned out to be about 20GB. On Friday I saw an...

Excellent. Thanks for that. As the scenery is for FSX I thought that it must have some other incompatibility as opposed to an elevation issue so didn't even bother doing a search. All sceneries now working great.

Rob - my 4G wireless internet plan gives me 8GB/month, and if I go over that, it is throttled down to 64KB/s, which is painful to watch...but with a bit of planning, I can make sure I have around 200MB left on the last day. That means I still get around 8MB/sec speed until I log off, even though I might go over the 8GB limit - and any overage does not affect the next month's allowance of 8GB. So I am happy with things as is. /wink.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :wink2: border= 0 alt= wink.gif /> Age and low cunning will always defeat youth and skill.

Thanks for that. A couple of things are apparent: -The original install recognised the fact that you have NZSI installed; -The patch didn't work. I'll need to look at this tomorrow, as the patch uses the same code as the original installer to find the FSX location, and check for NZSI. Something else must be getting in the way. I have made some changes to the patch, though, as it did include some code to act as a simple switcher, but as this was not finished I've just removed the extra bits. I've therefore removed the patch from NZFF, so it is just available from the Subscriber...

Welcome back. I can't think of any priority issues with Real NZ scenery, as long as you either allow VLC to set its own priority via the installer, or follow the instructions re priority in the manual. As always, though, you really should check for duplicates in the VLC airfields scenery folder whenever you install any NZ airport.

The Godzone Store is now back up and running, sorry about the delay, the weekend is not the best time to have website access issues.... The entire Windowlight site has been restored to the previous week, just to be on the safe side. I will contact those who have purchased anything through the Godzone Store or the Subscription site since the restore point, as these won't appear in the database. Don't worry, you orders are not lost, they just need to be re-added to the database. (All order emails are kept offline.) Until then (hopefully tomorrow morning) if you have purchased anything...

QUOTE (emfrat @ Jun 27 2014,8:25 AM) It has been shown - and I think convincingly - that the missing sock is actually the larval form of the wire coathanger... There's a scifi short story, probably as old as me, by Avram Davidson called 'Or All the Seas with Oysters', which pretty much deals with this theme, the moral of the story being keep it to yourself, or you'll end up hanging from a hanger in your closet... PS I just googled him, this story is from 1958, so it's old. And I'm older.

QUOTE (Splitpin @ Jun 9 2014,8:22 PM) Rockin Rob /thumbup1.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= thumbup1.gif /> just got my first download .... man , your site pumps it out , i was getting 1.50MB per second , not mbs . Great stuff , thanks again. Cheers, although the subscription site is hosted here in NZ, the downloads are actually served from an Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) bucket in Sydney. If you'd told me on Friday morning that by the end of the day I'd be signed up to a cloud server and delivering downloads, I'd have said......
