I think you might've screwed up the linnks there Trolly.

Good...grief...to that second one.
You have to wonder, I mean those aerodynamic engineers spend years getting the airflow just so, and then they hang all that stuff out there and the thing still flies, somehow.
And how'd that guy get out there on the wingstrut anyway??
Amazing shot.

Easy biggrin.gif

Climb out onto the wheel, grab the door handle then reach for the strut.
My Camera dude does the same thing outta our 182 cool.gif

I`ve also heard of 2 funjumpers ( solo dudes ) SITTING on the tail of an otter

the links work, but you can't direct link from airliners.net

if only you could get that close to NZAA on your bike. on second thought, being sucked into a 777 engine at take-off power doesn't sound fun.

Wasnt there an incident a couple years ago where some Asian guy ended up driving up and down the runway at Auckland?

Then there was good old Judith Dobsons husband who crashed his car in to a radar station at Ohakea (after drag racing down the runway) biggrin.gif

Another cool new pic on Airliners': http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1143919/M/

The passenger got a great wingview shot over Maraiti/Beachlands/Whitford coming into land on the 23L approach at NZAA. I reconise all the locations in that pic!

How high up do you reckon this shot was taken from? I might have to go down to Maraiti beach and check it out as a spotting location... towerguy, you may be able to help out here: what altitude do aircraft have to be over the Waiheke Channel on appoach to 23L?

Here is another shot by the same photgrapher, or Airwork's 737-200. Just a few questions about Airwork for my personal knowlage:
How big is their fleet, what does it consist of?
What routes do they fly?
Is that 737-200 configurated for PAX, if so, do ANZ operate flights on board?

Not too sure on the fleet size...have a look at www.caa.govt.nz icon_arrow.gif Aircraft icon_arrow.gif Aircraft Register icon_arrow.gif (Aeroplane) click get list.

Airwork's only sceduled services are the nightly post services in the Fokker aircraft with the occasional 737 flight.

The 737-200 is not usually configured for pax but as I understand it it is currently being done so (pending Kiwi Pacific). And Air NZ do not utilise the 737. The only other company that Air NZ use is Vincent Aviation from Wellington, using their Beech 1900 aircraft.

Hope this helps smile.gif

I just found some brilliant airliner.net shots by a guy called Rob Neal: http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.sear...inct_entry=true

Check out his air to air Vincent Aviation shots half way down the 1st page! They make for some stunning desktop backgrounds biggrin.gif

Air New Zealand does use airwork for some of their flights. At christchurch once when I was there ANZ used them because a flight was used for somewhere else.

generally between 3000 and 5000ft around there - can be lower on a visual - can also be higher. had an ANZ B744 do a visual last week was about 8500ft over Howick beach and dropped like a ton of bricks, put it on the numbers and taxied in no worries!

there is the accountants way of flying and then there is REAL flying!
Alex
Wow, he must have some lens on the camera there. ohmy.gif

Airwork is part-owned by NZ Post Trolly, the 732 is primarily used at night between Auckland and Christchurch for our Fastpost mail products. Typically it would do 2 return trips a night, sometimes 3 depending on volume.
