Welcome to Nelson Lakes, a small general aviation airfield 5 nautical miles west-north-west of St. Arnaud, in the upper South Island of New Zealand.
Nelson Lakes is home to the Nelson Gliding Club, and is only a short flight southwards from either Nelson Airport NZNS, or Motueka Airfield NZMK.

Just uploaded to Avsim,....... should be available in the next few hours.

Whoo! Awesome, Lawrie! It looks much like the real thing as I've driven past it numerous times...is there really a clubhouse there? I don't recall seeing one there, maybe there is now?

The clubhouse shows up in the pics i have, including the Google Satellite pics................
About the only thing i didnt model in the scenery, was the strips of Lucern on either side of the runway edges....

Nice one, it looks like its got a bit of detail in it. Keep it up, also do you think I could get a p-38 down in that space?

Good stuff...

Found it after an interesting flight from Nelson and was in time to see the C170 Tail-dragger leave.

Is it possible to "load it" and start there as a "non default" strip ? I see there is a a "non default" area in the Create a Flight start-up, but it doesn't show there - along
with a lot of others...?

Dont see any reason why not.
You could set up a flight with the aircraft positioned at the starting point of your choice on the feild, and save it at that point. It will then be in your saved flights, and just select it when you next start FS from "Select a Flight" / "2 Choose a Flight" , highlight the name of your flight, and tick the "Make this the Default Flight" box at the bottom of the dialogue box, if you wish to make it the default flight, or simply select it from the list if you dont want to make it the default flight.

Awesome ! Finally a good LE. The only thing which could get a little anoying are those houses in the north eastern corner, they arent there !! It actually looks alot more populated than in real life.. But anyway thanks ! I use LE alot on the sim for flying the metro (as they used to) and the C130 as the RNZAF sometimes do so a better version is great !
