OK, there were I think about 200 classic trucks by the time we got to Invercargill (Picton
 West Coast Invercargill for the opening of a massive truck Museum East Coast Picton). Any questions just ask.When we arrived in Picton. From left right Kenworth, Vic's Leyland Beaver, Tauranga Leyland Hippo, Our Octopus, Vic's Hippo, Mike's Beaver. Two Awesome Hippo's  Another fav of mine, Old International:  On the Takaka Hill:  The back  The front (Cab yet to be restored- almost everything else done)  Vic's Incredible Leyland Hippo. In excess of $150,000 spent on this. (I was lucky enough to get a ride in both his trucks)  Vic's Beaver Again  A nice Mack B from Motueka (got a ride in it  )   erm Group photo?  Merc, Leyland and Kenworth from Pahiatua.(Got a ride in the KW and the Merc too)   Kenworth: Octopus at the base of the Haast pass. No heater + holes in cab + southland morning at 7am= COLD.  Hawea for Lunch.   Lucky me   Found this at Wanaka:  The next day travelling from Cromwell Invercargill At some farm in a place I can't remember where:  Someone hired HOT to film us in convoy:  About 1/10th of us  Taken from the orange Merc  Bugger these poofs with electric cars..  HOT again  Hunting in the mighty KW.  In.. um.. Gorre..  We made it to Invers:   Part 2 coming soon! |
