Following on from zkcav's shots showing Real NZ Nelson working with GSX, I finally got around to installing GSX. I've been experimenting with fine-tuning the parking to get the best out of this, and I may make some changes, but as Paul said, it works fine as is -- with a few issues which are kind of inherent in a system like this.
One issue I had was that the baggage carts are actually waiting beside the parking space when you are trying to park, which isn't that realistic at Nelson. I've been trying to shift these closer to the terminal, where they belong, and this kind of works. Since it's very easy to edit the way GSX handles each parking space, the first step is to remove the bus support. Here's some shots of GSX in action (yes, the marshaller does point out that my parking is rubbish, but I blame it on the camera angle:) Shots not included show the marshaller being 'scalped' by a passing AI, but it didn't seem to bother him too much. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Earlier today I tried out a 737 just to see how GSX handled it -- this is a very nice system, that's for sure. ![]() ![]() ![]()

This product has so much potential, and the good part is they're using it. a few screens were posted on their forums showing a container loading development. Very cool.

I bought GSX last week, great product. Didn't know the 737 flies into Nelson. Yes, this is more 'just because' -- I just wanted to see what would happen with a fully-serviced aircraft, as the Dash uses it's own steps, and the catering trucks are replaced with ice-cream vans... |

Would be cool if they allowed a tool to edit customize the pushback sequence more than just left or right.
I see have have some custom pushback routes in their own products which is understandable. Good buy though, $50 was almost too step....but I just went without the coffee for morning tea the next day -------------------- ![]() |

I think FSDT is going to release a tool that can do that. (well I hope so.

Sound very promising. In Wellington they push aircraft in gate 17 for example, right out to the secondary main taxiway by gate 45. Would be terrific if I could customize this to reflect reality
