My problem after a day of using them is my muscle memory from ages using the twist grip as a rudder. Still, getting used to it.

Even Longbow 2 back in the 90s I used rudder pedals, the only way to go with helicopter sims.

I did have the rudder pedals but was in a transition from combat helo's into the darker side of scenery , one area i would love to check out with the gear i have today .

Helos are fun especially the R22 in FSX and the DCS KA50. I have not yet got the UH1 but I'll see if I can get it in the next few months. The contra-rotating blades are best as it is easier to control than just your normal helicopter with a tail rotor. FBW is also quite handy as is auto-pilot since pilot input is greatly reduced. When you're flying a much older aircraft like the UH1 it requires a lot more pedal input to counter the anti-torque from the main rotor which is constant with virtually any change in most controls. Does the UH1 have trim?

DeaneB the best one to ask about the Huey , tho Nick "Choppernut" would give you the full blo regarding effort and directional control , one thing i recall was Deane mentioning how much effort required on the Huey's rudder pedals , as for trim to my knowledge , the blades only had fixed tabs.

There's a force trim button and switch but I'm not totally au fait with how it works yet.
