Anytime!
I've been on Youtube watching vids of JT8D-15s on and off for like the last week laugh.gif

Dad was saying that perhaps there could be some kind of Livery Design competition in the future, with seats to Omaka Warbirds for prizes. If it's ok with Trolly of course! biggrin.gif

Yep, retired from Delta service in about 2005, so hasn't been there long. I'd love to go on the delivery flight!

It will be a welcome change from dodgy old -NQC,

Nothing wrong with NQC. Very well maintained with an excellent dispatch reliability record.

Erm- maybe mechanically, certainly not Aesthetically. Va's 737 will be well maintained in all areas.

If you get the chance, go there. (that is, if you havent already been) Go to pima air and space museum, it is fantastic. And big. Really BIG. Sooo many planes drool.gif oh, did I mention that it is pretty big ?? you could put every aviation related museum in nz togeather and it wouldnt be anywherer near as huge as this place. Also have the davis monthan (if thats how you spell) air base bone yard, really cool.

VA will be getting two J31/32s in the near future, based out of Wellington for charter work, as they are significantly cheaper to operate than a 1900, making chartering an aircraft a more cost effective option than it is currently, which will appeal to sports teams/school groups etc.

Hahaha so now VA will get emselves some cheap little sodastreams. Not really supprising. tis all about the $$

GO THE MIGHTY GARRET !!!!!!!!!!!!!! laugh.gif

Fantastic news for VA Tom. Great to hear they are doing so well! The 732 would be fantastic, but all good things in due time I guess. Best of luck to your Dad for his travels over there, and his shopping! I guess he'll be going for a type rating? winkyy.gif

Cheers biggrin.gif

He actually already has one. Ansett flew 737-100's in NZ when they were first here, and he was a pilot on them. He sure isn't current though laugh.gif
