So which is better, the latest browser from Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer?
My personal favourite is Firefox, with the open end user compability, the easy to use tabbed browsing and all the many features that IE never though to include... -------------------- Intel Core i5-2400|8GB RAM|ATI Radeon HD 5750 (1GB)|1TB Seagate Barracuda|Windows 7 64 Bit|FSX Gold Edition|24" AOC Widescreen <<

i suppose 'which is better' and 'which one do you use' are 2 different issues
i use IE, but FF is supposidly better. hopefully IE7 restores the balance (but unlikely) -------------------- ![]() |

IE7 now has tabbed browsing and I find it a mixed blessing. (Alt-Tab switches faster than point and click.) What else does Firefox do that IE7 doesn't ? -------------------- ___________________________

As I said in the other thread-Firefox and NZFF, Firefox is better according to those who know far more than I. I suppose it comes down to how clever you are (or think you are) I have a friend who uses a pentium2 running Linux just to have what he calls a rock solid firewall. Then there is a windows emulator from there to turn it all back into what we are all used to,which is networked to the main computer that has XP like the rest of us.He's not really paranoid he just likes tinkering and seeing what can be done with his endless supply of old bits and pieces.
I hate computer criminals that think they're clever writing viruses just to piss us all off and waste our time and money. They give teenagers a bad (even worse) name.Too much time on their hands-send them to Iraq or Afganistan. Some people just don't like Microsoft, why just cos' they're big and sucessfull, they obviously aren't flight simmers,or maybe they use X-plane,just anything that ain't MS.Use Firefox, just do it for the right reasons. -------------------- 2 wrongs don't make a right but 2 Wrights made an aeroplane!

I like the extensions you can get with Firefox ( https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/extensions/ ) . I use AdBlock and Video Downloader the most. With video downloader it will grab the video embeded in web pages, adblock filters out ads effortlesly and is customisable. StumbleUpon is pretty cool too, select a few interest categories and it will serve up a feast of web pages with the same themes. Always a good bet when bored.
Tabbed browsing was the killer app for me, I find when at work now (with IE) I can't stop using the middle mouse button to open pages in new tabs. If IE7 has tabbed browsing that's cool, it's about time It's all about personal prefs though in the end ... |

I'm using IE7 over FF, really the only thing that made me sway over to IE is that it looks cooler

Ad-block in FF is brilliant, I wouldn't be without it now. No more ads

Round Three ... fight!!
Hehehe, if it was anyone else but you or Alister I'd drop it there but I know ya, so ... Firefox has 100's of THEMES unless of course you're talking about your rugged good looks, but I guess I better stop that right there |
